This Month: HIC for sale @ Pepper Pastor Salon, NYC !!

Well, I know back in July of last year I'd initially placed a blurb in this blog about my pieces being sold @ the super-fun & swanky Pepper Pastor Salon in NYC, but it's happening this month!!

This salon is no ordinary salon, and no ordinary stylists will be found here... with friends such as Theo Kogan formerly of "the Lunachicks" {Saw them live back in 1996!! Always loved her rock & roll meets classical beauty and glamour...}, now of 'Theo and the Skyscrapers" and "Screen Test"; this space is home to a host of creative minds, talent and beauty with just a touch of the dark side. Harlow In Chains will be selling jewelry and hair accessories there starting this month, and I couldn't be happier!!

I mean, their opening reception featured a beautifully tiered grey and black cake with skulls artfully placed all over the entire cake! That definitely says a lot about this salon's attitude; again, the mix of galmour and a little bit of the dark side...Loving it!

The space, designed to cocoon clients in glamour, channels classic Hollywood with a dash of modern noir. Step foot in the salon and you’ll notice the care lavished on even the smallest details: wrought-iron art deco gates salvaged from decommissioned elevators divide the shampoo bowls, while in the foyer, clients perch on a late 19th century sofa reupholstered in sumptuous gold velvet damask.

With an outstanding portfolio, super-unique talent and an incredible atmosphere, I feel that Harlow & Pepper Pastor will fit together beautifully!! the "Brooks Collection"....

Well, summer's here and we're all going places... events, openings, shows, parties, the beach, BBQs... the list goes on & on! In the meantime, Harlow's coming out with a new collection:
"the Brooks Collection"

Inspired by Louise Brooks and all the other women of the fabulous and over-the-top 'flapper' era, the collection focuses on fringe, sparkle and decadence. As always, no two pieces will be alike, and each piece is completely hand-sewn. Designed to accentuate what you're already wearing, these necklaces will almost appear as if they're part of the dress!! I'm also creating pieces that can be worn either draping down the front, or to drape down and sway across the back - depending on what you're wearing... a nice, open, scoop-back top or dress would look fierce with some fringe swaying back and forth. Incorporating antique elements such as a deco-era dress or shoe clip here, an antique locket there {and of course, what would this homage be without some pearls thrown in the mix?}, these pieces are most certainly created to make a statement! Brooches, bracelets and earrings will follow shortly!

Some of these new pieces will be featured in the dynamic and swanky Pepper Pastor Salon in NYC! Located by the South Street Seaport, and with a long list of superstar clients and stylists, this amazing salon is the perfect home for my new collection! The vibe of this salon is best described as "Coco Chanel meets Tim Burton", and a superstar client happens to be the amazingly talented and multi-faceted Theo Kogan, formerly of the "Lunachicks"; now of "Theo and the Skyscrapers" and "Screen test".
